Areas of a report cover: poor workmanship where quality of work does meet standards promised upon the reservation of your new home. Some of the most common snagging issues are: Front door not closing properly, squeaky stairs, sockets not secure, radiators not level, damage to fittings and much more. Our new home reports can assist buyers to correct defects with the developer prior to legal completion or within a timely manner which can only get worse over time.

With more pressure for developers to build more new homes, ultimately this can lead to poor workmanship and their standards slipping from the pressure to build and sell. With a Platinum report we can identify these issues to enable you to correct prior to legally completing. Unresolved issues can potentially take a long time to remedy with numerous visits to your house around work once you have moved in.   

 Moving home can come with considerable costs and at Platinum we work to make our reports affordable and cost effective. We are not surveyors and do not conduct structural or damp surveys which assists in keeping the costs more affordable.

  Developers may advise that they complete their own snagging prior to completion but most developers will be signed up to the New Homes Quality Code which gives the buyer the right to complete an independent snagging report prior to completion and to notify of any issues up to two years from completion.

At Platinum, we offer a independent post completion report to help assist homeowners identify on going issues and report to the developer with one report. This will enable the home owner to request a completion date of all snagging issues within the report and to help minimise the stress and inconvenience while living in the property and having to assist the developer with access around a busy working schedule.
